How we started

The idea of The Cookie Parlour actually came on a whim. With the cost of living rising at a ridiculous rate in Auckland, being on maternity leave with my fourth child and wanting to start something of my own while I had the time, I decided to turn to baking. I began to experiment with recipes which the children have grown to love, and since they loved them so much we thought others may like them too! So just like that The Cookie Parlour NZ was born. We are proud to say we are a family owned and operated business and hope to remain so for future generations to come.

Hi there!

I'm Kayla, the CEO, Director and Head Baker at The Cookie Parlour NZ. I've been working in the FMCG industry for many years and always dreamed of one day owning my very own commercial bakery. Being a mother to my four beautiful children has been my drive and inspiration to take the plunge and start this little business of ours. I love cookies! I mean who doesn't right? So it only makes sense to base our business on these deliciously moreish treats!
